David Kelso

David Kelso appointed Director

Our sister organisation, the Esperanto Association of Britain, has just appointed a Scottish Esperantist, David Kelso from Dunblane, to be its first Director of Development.

The Scottish Esperanto Association wishes him well in his new position!

David’s appointment coincides with the imminent move of the Association’s Office and Library to Wedgwood college, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent.

David was until his very early retirement HM Chief Inspector for Post School Education in Scotland.

His connection with Esperanto began with the legendary Esperanto Society established in Edinburgh University in the sixties.

In the past few years David has gradually been reinvolving himself in the Movement once more in anticipation of early retirement. That EAB should have created the new post of Director of Development just after his official retirement is an extraordinary coincidence from which we can all derive satisfaction.

David is married with three children, one of whom is still at university. He confesses to a love affair with Calabria in southern Italy, and also braves the Scottish hills.

David intends to engage the Movement in all parts of Britain with the rallying call:

"Let’s show the world what Esperanto can do!".
