Glasgow Vice President for SEA

Duncan Thomson, the President of the Glasgow Esperanto Society, has agreed to become Vice President of the Scottish Esperanto Association.

Duncan was born in Glasgow in 1969 and began learning Esperanto in 1990. He has been an enthusiastic participant of international Esperanto events for young people, and as a result is a well known face in many countries.

His first experience of a TEJO Congress was in 1995 at St. Petersburg; his anecdotes concerning this event are already legendary!

Duncan was the main organiser of the Scottish Week, an international residential event for young people, which was highly successful in spite of many logistical problems.

Duncan sings and plays the guitar, and is an expert concerning the Esperanto rock scene.

He is a lecturer at Paisley University in Computer Communication.
