Welcome to the Clyde Valley Esperanto Society!

The society has now been in existence for more than 10 years; but it, in fact, has a longer history as it had its origin in the Hamilton Esperanto Society.

The Society does not have regular meetings, but it is not inactive and has a structure which may well become more common in our changing society.

It is responsible for running the Esperanto Information Centre, based in Motherwell, but covering the whole of Lanarkshire.

It is also responsible for the language input to the Esperanto Open Learning Group which is based in Motherwell Public Library.

It organised the British Esperanto Congress which was held in Hamilton a few years ago; and at present is organising the Scottish Esperanto Congress which will be held in Motherwell in 2001.

The society organises meetings from to to time especially when foreign gusts can be present.

Last but not least it has an ongoing programme of informal oral tuition for learners and intermediate students.
